Coursework: Print brief research and planning

Image
Research and planning blog tasks 1) Find at least  five  music magazine front covers  (either current or former magazines as many have stopped their print editions) aimed at a similar target audience to your project (mainstream music audience) and research music magazine key conventions. For each one, pick out  one design idea, convention  or  image/text style  that you could use in your own print work. A few examples to start you off: 1) i love that it is a close up and her face is the main image 2) The styling of the cover lines and the placement, t he fun bubble font,  the back and white style 3) I love the consistent use of blue  4) i love that billboard always have a catchy main cover line that describes their artist 5) i like the placement of the billboard label 2) Find at least  five double-page spread features  from music magazines on Google images. How are they designed? How are text and images displayed? What design tricks...

Video rough cut learner response

Feedback: There are some great elements here – a good narrative, performance elements, nice visual effects. The overall video feels like it fits the song really well which is such an important aspect. The brand identity and shoe sponsorship elements are huge strengths – I really like the way you’ve integrated into the narrative. I love the video effect on the friendship narrative element but do you have enough footage for those sections? It feels like some of the locations outstay their welcome a little – is that an area you could add to for the final cut? You may also want to consider additional effects on those sections to really ramp up the nostalgic feel. Improvements:  Changing the ending: with more editing  Adding another perform ance  at the first location  Adding more locations and cutting the other scene to make the video more fast paced
