Film & TV Language: Mise-en-scene video feedback and learner response 1) Type up your feedback from your teacher in full. Opening of scene shows clear thought behind dialogue and camera shot. Placement and movement aspect of mis-en-scene is good but costume/shoes are so important for character and are slightly different to original. Locations are generally very good (perhaps teacher going outside aside) but costume/casting of teacher could have been closer to original!  Editing and sound is generally good!   2) Type up a summary of the feedback you have had  from the rest of the class - bullet points is fine Good acting and movement   Good choice of location  good dialogue   Accurate angles   costume could have been better   Good lighting   3) Use all the feedback you've been given to write your own self-assessment of your video using WWW (What Went Well) and EBI (Even Better If...)   1) Find a distinctive   still image   and write an analysis of the mise-en-scene. Use each of the aspects you've learned in the lesson. The tree tells us its Christmas and the boy has a present in his hand that he may be putting under the tree. The man behind him is in all black which contrast to the bright color scheme. The color black has connotations of mystery, danger and power. The mysterious man spying on the young boy wears a frown on his face which could mean he has bad intentions  The color scheme is soft with warm colors to present a safe welcoming environment. The young people sitting all wear uniform to show they are equal students. The teacher is towering above them which also represents his superiority. They all look up at him with admiration and he smiles down at them to show both the teacher and the students are engaging 2) Find  TWO  film or TV extracts on YouTube from different genres (e.g. horror, sci-fi, costume drama). Blade Runner The color scheme and bright rays of lights could suggest supernatural elements in the movie and the female antagonist is a convention of the noir genre.
