Cinematography Learner Response

1) Type up your feedback/comments from your teacher.

  • Starts well-establishing shot, titles on screen, music and editing works
  • Issues is lack of subject/person in video. Without someone in video, medium shot/two shot etc. doesn't work.
  • Too short -brief was for 1 min video

2) Type up your feedback from fellow students.

  • nice, fast paced editing
  • good panning
  • needs to be 1 min
  • there was a variety

3) Now reflect on your work and write your own summary of the comments and feedback you have received. Write three WWWs and three EBIs.

WWW: High and low angles were correct ,I used establishing shot well 
EBI: Cant do this project without a subject and all shots were pans. I also need to stick to the brief 


4) Learner response: think about what you learned about cinematography making the video and also watching others. What will you do differently when you start the coursework in the summer? What tips or tricks have you learned from others that you can use next time? Are there any specific aspects of camerawork that you need to revise or practice?

I will try focus on the subject when doing coursework and improving cinematography and I've learnt tricks with editing and adding different effects to smooth the shots.I need to revise the different shits like two shots

 1) Type up your feedback from your teacher. Minor technical point- resolution of image in places This meets the brief well- good choice of music and the parallel section is perfect. Good pace and transition to the editing too The contrapuntal section works (particularly the black and white effect) but perhaps doesn't have the same impact as some of the contrapuntal sections we have seen 2) Type up your feedback from fellow students - you can summarise key points if several students give you similar feedback. Film & TV Language: Mise-en-scene video feedback and learner response 1) Type up your feedback from your teacher in full. Opening of scene shows clear thought behind dialogue and camera shot. Placement and movement aspect of mis-en-scene is good but costume/shoes are so important for character and are slightly different to original. Locations are generally very good (perhaps teacher going outside aside) but costume/casting of teacher could have been closer to original!  Editing and sound is generally good!   2) Type up a summary of the feedback you have had  from the rest of the class - bullet points is fine Good acting and movement   Good choice of location  good dialogue   Accurate angles   costume could have been better   Good lighting   3) Use all the feedback you've been given to write your own self-assessment of your video using WWW (What Went Well) and EBI (Even Better If...)
