Coursework: Preliminary exercise feedback and LR

 1) Type up your teacher's feedback in full plus a summary of the comments you received from other students in the class.

  • Artist name graphic, Converse branding – lots of nice touches before even pressing play on this!
  • There is the basis of an excellent video here. Mise-en-scene at beginning works well – photos, location, diary.
  • Check the focus in places – a little blur is fine but you need to make sure it focuses in correctly before cutting away.
  • Font for the credits at end is excellent – worth considering for opening of video? I think it could work along with the footwear brand?
  • Shot on the street is weaker – can you do anything in post-production here? Effects? Slow motion? Black and white? Or re-shoot that section with more shots perhaps.

2) Using a combination of your own reflection on the preliminary exercise and the feedback you were given, write three WWW bullet points and three EBI bullet points for your work.
  • Good song choice
  • Nice font chosen
  • Good product placement
  • fix focus- blurred towards end of clip
  • weaker setting
  • maybe add credits at the beginning

3) How effectively did you complete the objective you laid out in your mini preliminary exercise statement of intent?
I did majority of what i set out to do however i wanted to add a close up of my artist wearing the shoes

4) What have you learned from the preliminary exercise that will help you in the actual coursework project?
Plan shots, costume and production effectively because it saves time while filming and try to edit as soon as to give myself time to experiment with different effects and editing styles

5) Now you have completed the preliminary exercise, will you change anything about your actual coursework video plan? This could include your concept, cast/actors or technical elements such as mise-en-scene, camerawork or editing.
I will change the setting from the street to the park or soemthing more nostalgic. I changed the name of my artist aswell.
